There’s a strange psychology with eBay users (me included!) who are of the opinion that for items under say $100, eBay has got to be the cheapest place to purchase. As we can see from the below example this truly isn’t correct.

  1. I’ve personally tested each of these products so do click through and read the full reviews.
  2. In addition I only list 500 items in comparison to some of the larger seller who have 50,000 items.
  3. You can compare the Pricematik software to Profit Scraper by signing up to the free 7 day trial using this link.
  4. Once you’ve tracked down your first 100 ASINs the following step is relatively simple.
  5. I’d strongly recommend signing up to the 7 day trial with this link.

Similarly you’ll need to set up and verify a Paypal account. This is straight forward and should take no longer than 2-3 minutes. Make sure you verify your account to remove an sending/receiving limits which Paypal may apply to new users. Click here for a free £5 voucher when you make your first purchase on Paypal.

Hydra Lister / SKU Grid Review Summary

In the 7 weeks I’ve been using Profit Scraper I’ve made an additional £176 in cashback from the card, a definite perk. Now you’ve signed up to the various programs, you can start setting up Profit Scraper. Setting up Profit Scraper is relatively straight forward with various videos on the website walking you through the various elements.

For those who are new to the expression ‘retail arbitrage’, this is where you buy an item and then sell it on for a higher price. As such you are making an arbitrage from the buy / sell prices. You will need to start by connecting your eBay Seller Account to the Profit Scraper Platform. This is as simple as clicking two links to give permission for Profit Scraper to access and update your various links (should the prices change etc). Click here for the video showing exactly how this is done. When you sign up for a PriceYak account you are asked to link your eBay shop to allow for full integration across the two platforms.

I would recommend signing up to the free 7 day trial (click this link for the offer) initially and then once you’ve spent a month or two getting the hang of the software scaling your operations from there. I’d highlight that after 2 pricematik review months I’m still using the 500 Active Listings but will seek to increase this shortly. Full service automated platforms and limited service products. Aura Profit Hunter falls into the second category – a very basic version at that.

Now that we know that the Hydra Lister / SKU Grid offers a limited service product in comparison to some of its competitors, it’s important to assess the costs. Whilst this may not seem time consuming when purchasing a single item, if you’re ever planning on scaling the business to say 30 sales a day or if even a lot more, this process will take a considerable amount of time. As you may have guessed, the software doesn’t support automatic purchasing. SKU Grid offer a 7 day free trial which I signed up to and was promptly provided with log in details. The platform home page takes a little getting used to and unlike most competing products pricing is based on a credit basis.

PriceYak Software Review 2018

Please also leave a comment if you think I’ve missed any products and I’ll do my best to review as soon as possible. Similar to Profit Scraper, Pricematik offers the ability to scrape other eBay sellers. Whilst this is helpful to get started initially, where considerable profit is made is when you identify an item with little or no competition. From my experience the only other real competitor in the market is Pricematik.

Hydra Lister and SKU Grid – HYDRA FREE TRIAL / SKU FREE TRIAL – 3 Stars

As you’ve uploaded the items through Hydro Lister these will automatically be within SKU Grid with standard monitoring functions being undertaken. You can choose the frequency of the price monitoring for which each pricing costs one credit. Profit Scraper recently had to close their membership subscription due to poplar demand. This has since reopened however I suspect this will be for a limited time only. Check here to see whether Profit Scraper are still accepting new members.

PriceYak Review Summary

I signed up to a free trail using this link to test the software and provide an overview of my experience below. You can compare the Pricematik software to Profit Scraper by signing up to the free 7 day trial using this link. The software package is lacking a couple of key components which will help to automate your business and save you considerable amounts of time going forwards. The art of retail arbitrage goes back thousands of years.

You could also compare it to the Pricematik software which is currently offering a 14 day trial period if you use this link – Pricematik Free Trial. Due to the popularity of the Profit Scraper Software they had to recently close their membership. During that time I was inundated with queries as to other software providers and as such spent sometime test running the Pricematik software.

Once you’ve ordered the items make sure that you move the items from the addresses section of the auto order page of profit scraper to the completed. Similarly make sure that you update eBay once you’ve sent the items out. Once you’ve selected all the items you want to upload, just click upload selected items to eBay in bulk. Note that eBay will not allow you to upload items with certain words in the description (knifes / guns etc) or similarly certain brands so these will need to be deleted. Some titles will also be too long for eBay and will need to be reduced (usually highlighted in red). Once you’ve amended these you’ll be in a position to bulk upload and they should begin to appear on your eBay shop.

Once you’ve tracked down your first 100 ASINs the following step is relatively simple. You’ll need to insert the ASINs into the PriceYak create listing tab and run the software. The program will automatically upload these items to your eBay and initially price the product at $300 or £300 depending on the destination. As such my net profit, allowing for the various costs and additional revenue, was in the region of £513.95 or £73.42 per week. Note that at the start I had no feedback and as such it has taken a little time to get traction (I currently have 129 feedback from my 327 orders all of which are positive). In addition I only list 500 items in comparison to some of the larger seller who have 50,000 items.

Once you’ve scraped a category you’ll be able to sort through the items and check that they’ve matched correct. I’ve spent some considerable time testing the Pricematik product when Profit Scraper had closed its membership. The software is clean and straight forward to use, with resaonable reliability at a cost which once you list over 2,500 items begins to become every attractive. In the table below I’ve set out the combined cost of Hydra Lister and SKU Grid in comparison to some full service providers on the market. We’ve assumed that items within SKU Grid would be checked every 2 hours (the same basis Profit Scraper). The software provides both standard repricing settings reflecting eBay and PayPal fees, as well as more bespoke options.
